HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL MOMMA!
So, I've decided I will be presenting my Weekly Weight Watchers Whatnot on Fridays (the day after the big weigh ins).
I am reeeally struggling this time around to not be tempted by the chips and dips, candy, ice cream, pasta, JUNK, etc! I wasn't able to weight in at my normal meeting, so I kept putting it off and then off the bandwagon I fell over the weekend. Every day since then I have made it my mission (in the morning) to hop back on, but if I am out of the house I start eating whatever. Trying to fight that urge and realize the greater good.

Each week I want to give a recap of the week in terms of what I learned and lost that week and my focus for the following week.
What I learned these first two weeks:
What I learned these first two weeks:
1. Things are a lot harder this time around.
2. Trying to lose weight while nursing is going to be a lot harder than I thought. I know everyone says how you lose so much weight while nursing, but you have to make sure you are eating enough to keep your milk supply in.
3. Meal planning is key to effectively "spending" my points. And, ya know, not eating 5 cookies in one day...
4. I need to make it a priority to actually weigh in and attend the meetings.

Weight lost to date: 5.4 pounds @ my first weigh in!!!
This Weeks focus: I anticipated my focus for the 2nd or 3rd week to be working out, but I don't want to fully dive in until I can get a handle on my eating. So, my focus is going to be to stop having "bad days" just because I can't make my own food! Focus on staying within my daily/weekly points range.
Woohoo for the weekend, I hope everyone has a fabulous one!

Keep it up!! It sounds like you have a good game plan.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! That sounds like a great plan and focus. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, congrats!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Shelby! I was looking through old photos while updating my computer and saw pictures of us from Jen Hamilton's wedding and you looked fabulous - not that you don't look fab now, because you do. I have no doubt that you will do fantastic and lose all the baby weight.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea to get focused on good food because I know I want to stuff my face after I work out and if I don't know what I have and don't plan for something healthy it's all back downhill (example: my lunch at mexican place = total lost of morning workout)
ReplyDeleteSo good job! I like the idea for Fridays!
it's been so much harder for the weight to come off this time. last time i dropped 20 lbs like that. this time if i lose a few lbs i'm lucky. plus, for me, nursing keeps the weight on! : ( after i quit nursing hunter at 8 mos i lost 10 lbs immediately. i hope that happens again! good luck on your eating! a miracle has occurred in me - i don't crave sweets anymore; thank goodness! cheers to losing it!
ReplyDeleteoh and your lil' gal does look just like her daddy! - aww, so cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your momma! Good luck with weight watchers! Thats awesome :)
