Getting to know YOU Sunday!!

Hey Hey everyone...I hope you're all enjoying this wonderfully long weekend!  I figured since the next couple of weeks I WILL most likely be sucking at keeping up to date with my bloggy blog, oh and the fun fact that I have been awake since 6:30AM (WIDE AWAKE), that I would join in on Keely's wonderful Sunday Blog Carnival!!
So here are the questions...

1.  Have you ever snooped around someone else's house?  I don't think so, but maybe I am forgetting a huge snooping adventure of mine.(I just wanted to use the word snoop again)

2.  Can guys and girls be friends?  I think this is a tough one, because usually at one time or another one liked the other more, in a more-than-friends kind of way.  Which can always muck things up when it comes time for significant others to enter the picture in the future.  Overall though, I guess everyone and every friendship is different.

3.  Can you curl your tongue?  I WISH!

4.  Have you ever stolen anything?  Oh my, yes I have.  It was back in the day during either middle or high school, mind you there was absofrigginlutely NO reason to do so, but because we could.  My friend and I got caught and my poor mom had to come inside the mall and get us (she was in her PJs and no bra) from security.  I was in a bit of trouble, to say the least.  Not one of my finer moments...

5.  Would you rather talk on the phone or text?  100% text for most people, its just so easy!

6.  Memorial Day plans?  Well since the hubs has today off we are having an Emma day, our last as a family of three (eeek).  We are going to the zoo we have in town (first time) and they also have a small water park in there.  Mind you this is all going to cost us $7.50 for everyone to get in and they have A LOT of real/fun animals...should be interesting!
Later on we might go to my aunts for some BBQing with the family as well.  Tomorrow the hunny has to work and I want to finish all my last minute preparations for the hospital and Isabelle's arrival.  Then, my husby advised me he is taking me out on the town for dinner at our favorite restaurant in honor of my pregnancy being OVER!!!

7.  What do you do to relax?  This seems like it would be easy to answer, but relaxation hasn't come so easy for me lately.  I guess sleep?!?!

8.  Do you do anything to honor those that have died fighting for our freedom?  We really don't do anything specifically, how horrible of us!

Okay, thats all for now peeps...have a fabulous rest of the long weekend!!!

Top Two Tuesday...Dates!

It's Tuesday and you know what that means...That's right it's Taylor's Top Two Tuesday.  This week it is Top two dates!!

{1.}  I would have to go with my first date with the hubs (boring yes I know, but memorable)!  We actually went to high school together, but never were in the same group of friends.  I did the college thing for four years and he did the Marine Corp thing, haha yeah that sounds ridiculous I know, for four years.  That summer after we re-met each other and lets just say we really hit it off.  We had been hanging out with our group of friends, so when he asked me to go on a date I was nervous/excited/nauseous (hey thats how I feel right now, but this time I 'm pregnant haha).  We went to a delicious restaurant in town, and the only thing I could think of was "Will we have ANYthing to talk about," and it turns out we did!
{Yuri's first night home from the Marine's...Silly times haha!}

{2.}  Although there are many date nights we have enjoyed, I would say one of my other faves was when we went on a cruise with 10 of our best friends and we went to dinner all by ourselves one night in the nicest restaurant and had some AMAZING lobster (for the hubs) and steak!  It was nice to go on vacation with our awesome friends, but have a romantic evening away from everyone, all at the same time!
{Not the best picture of the hubs haha, but one of the best from the cruise that I could find!}

Also, my love Kelly Marie is hosting a giveaway of this fabulous book...
So head on over and enter to win this book and if you don't follow...where have you been!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Another giveaway going on!

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that Shelley over @ Hand in Hand is hosting a giveaway in honor of her 100th post, woohoo!!  Anywho, its a jambacard from Jamba juice!  So go visit her blog and mention I sent ya!!

Miscellany Monday/Weekend Wrap up...all in one!!

It's Monday and you know what that means riiiight....Carissa over @ lowercase letters presents...MISCELLANY MONDAY!!  I am just gonna go ahead and wrap my weekend up in this fabulous alliteration day as well!

{1.}  So we got EVERYTHING else we need for the nursery!!  Its all decorated, now we just need to get our computer down to the new office and Yuri's work clothing into our closet.  This involves a trip to IKea tonight, which is ALWAYS interesting and fun!  We do however need wall hangings, any inexpensive ideas?!?!

{2.}So Friday night we headed up to Portsmouth, NH with my family in preparation for the baby brothers graduation from UNH!  Saturday morning was the graduation, which Emma was pretty good at considering it was 2 and a half hours long!!  The CEO of life is good was the commencement speaker and he was sooo entertaining and easy to listen to!  After the ceremony we headed to a fraternity members families house near by for a little party in celebration of all the graduation TKE graduates!

{He DID it}
{Tommy & his new adorable gf}
{The family!}
{My aunt & uncle with Tommy}
{Tommy & his friends at the graduation party!}

{3.}  My nerves/hormones have been very much on edge with the impending arrival of my second bundle of joy!  Its going to be an interesting last week to say the least, but my understanding and caring husband will be and has been by my side through it all!  So, here is one of the last belly shots before I hit the hospital...

{4.}  I could NOT be more excited for SATC to come out Thursday!!  I love me some Carrie Bradshaw, she really makes everything better haha!  It's also my aunts birthday that day and my uncle is in San Jose, California because his father is in the hospital and he had to fly out last minute because its not looking good.  So I am hoping to get a babysitter for Emma and take my aunt out for the movie and some lunch to celebrate and get her mind off of life in general!

{5.}  Last, but certainly not least...As you probably could guess a double stroller is definitely in my future!  Unfortunately they are expensive and I just don't know which one is the best for my situation or just in general.  There are so many out there to choose from and so many different styles...any suggestions?!?!

Okay thats all folks...Happy Monday to all, and to all a good afternoon!!

Weekend Wrap-up

And what a weekend it was!!  From Wednesday evening until Sunday night Emma and I stayed at my parents house, because the husband got to go enjoy himself at Police Week in DC.  Emma and I were sad to see him go, but this was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time.  I just wish the hubs had been here for some of it!

Friday we laid low and got our grocery shopping list together and the house in some what of order.  The next morning I had a hair appointment and some errands to run and mom took Emma with her to get the groceries (not the easiest thing to do, she has wandering hands and a hungry belly).

Blaine, my brother from another mother, graduated from college that morning so we made our way over to the school just in time for some cap and gown pictures and nothing more.  Those things are TERRIBLY boring and long, especially when a one and a half year old is involved!
{Emma thought it was the perfect time to pick her nose haha, Blaine loved it!}
{Blaine and his adorable girlfriend Meghan!!}
{Blaine's second familia!  I swear my father never knows where the camera is, and Emma is just a fresh girl!}

Later in the evening Blaine's parents took us (23 people total) out to a local restaurant to celebrate Blaine's accomplishments (graduating and impending commissioning).  His parents gave a nice speech about Blaine and thanked my parents for serving as second and sometimes first parents to him.
{My adorable brothers getting ready to go to dinner!}
{Mi familia! Scope out how excited/happy Emma is in this picture haha}

And next we went back to my parents house for dessert and coffee, because we had to wait until midnight so Blaine could get commissioned (really long story as to why so late haha).  His father is also in the Marine Corps and because of his rank was able to hold the commissioning ceremony, which I really got choked up at.  I am just so proud of him, he has matured into this man who is now going to lead other men.  In ever sense of the word Blaine is my brother and really one of my best friends and Saturday was such a great to celebrate all of his accomplishments.  I just wish the hubby was able to be here (again he would have if his trip hadn't bee planned previously and this was a bit last minute), because he is a Marine and would have appreciated seeing Blaine get pinned and being apart of it all!
{Blaine and his second parents}
{Blaine and his first family, whom we LOVE}
{Blaine had his mother and my mother pin his shoulder bars on him.  He gave them these beautiful white roses to show is appreciation for them}
{Blaine, the baby brother, and I} (This was at about 1 am and pregnant momma's should never be up this late)

After staying up this late I was still only able to sleep in until 8:30am, but my girlfriend slept until 9:30am because she is a good little girly!  We were not even able to relax though, because at 1 am my mom had (previous to the commissioning ceremony being planned for Saturday night) planned to have a girls luncheon in celebration of Miss Isabelle Catherine and her impending arrival.  I had an AMAZING shower when I was pregnant with Emma, so this time around my mom wanted to at least celebrate Izzie before she got here!  I want to thank Jenn over at West Sac Honey for giving me SO many recipes, two of which I went with (Tomato basil orzo and Bruschetta) and Caroline over at Simply Smithwick for recommending Bunco Buns!
{One side of the table: Turkey Tortilla wraps, Tomato Basil Orzo, Bunco Buns, and Guacamole pizza}
{Other side: Chinese chicken salad, more bunco buns, fruit salad, and Bruschetta.  Cupcake tower in the middle (they were TO DIE FOR)}
{Candy favor bar!!}
{Emma and Isabelle got these two shirts from my fabulous friend Jill (not pictured) so my little sisters in Gamma Phi thought ti would be cute to grab them for a photo op!!}
{My lovely friends from high school and college}
{Friends from college/sorority sisters feeling the belly!}
{Friends from home!}
{Amy stayed later than everyone and I am so glad, it is rare when this girl is not busy with one thing or another and we got to catch up & she played with my Emma girl outside for quite some time!!} (PS go check out her blog 101 Things in 1001 Days)
This was not supposed to be a gift giving thing, just a celebration of Isabelle's life (haha this sounds weird every time I write it, but its what my mom kept saying so what Ellen says goes!), however the amazing friends and family that I have brought some ADORABLE clothes for the baby and Emma got some cute things too (very nice not to be left out when you are the big sister).  Emma and Izzie got the cutest table and chair set and my little sister Alanna (and photographer check her blog out) make the most beautiful frames for both girls!  To say that I am lucky to have these people in my life is an understatement, so thank you everyone!

Sorry this is such a long post, but it is filled with happiness and love for my friends and family!  Its always hard to see a weekend like this go by, but the husband should be home in T minus 30 minutes, so thats all folks!
