Finally Friday!!

Hey all, so I have been a liiittle crazy lately and my blogging has DEFINITELY suffered.  Finals are over and this lady got all A's, woohoo, but that doesn't mean the craziness that is my life has slowed down.  We have been putting the remodel project in high gear, assembling baby furniture, painting, running after a crazy 1 and a half year old.  But, now the husband is in DC this weekend for police week, so a little rest is in store for Emma and I.  We also have both of my brothers graduations coming up, so I have been a busy bee trying to come up with what to get them, still don't know what to do for one of them (any ideas for a college grad who will be a Marine Corp officer as of Saturday?!).

Oh yah and I look like this...
And feel like a HUGE slug, so that doesn't help! (2 and a half weeks people, aaaahhhh)

So, nothing exciting today but I have a question for all of you, my loverly readers!  My mother is planning a little girls luncheon on Sunday in honor of the babes to be Izzie Moi, with some of my girlfriends at her house and we are trying to put a menu together.  This is proving to be quite hard, because we want it to be light, elegant, and pretty.  So my question for you all is, do you have any ideas or recipes we could use?!?!  Its not a baby shower, due to this being my second pregnancy and having another girl, but it is baby inspired!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and I will end with this picture of how I spent last Friday...

  1. No recipes, but any brunchie occasion calls for fruit salads, and lots of yummy dips!

    2 more weeks...almost there!

  2. You look so cute. I agree with D.A.R., just serve some dips and fruit salad and maybe some tea sandwiches. You could always make Bunco Buns.

  4. A.DOR.ABLE! Finally a belly shot! :) So excited for you! No special recipe [this is more of Adam's element!] I would serve mini sandwiches of some sort...croissants, cucumber, or even spinach dip. They're light & yummy! Fruit is always awesome this time of year too.

  5. I adore luncheons with lots of finger/ easy to snack on foods. What about fresh fruit, a yummy pasta salad, and/or a cheese and meat tray (with yummy special crackers or bread).

    Have a great time :)
