Wishful Wednesday Whatnot!

Wednesday is upon us once again...That means in T minus 46 hours I will be D.O.N.E. with classes until September!!!

First things first, Taylor over at The Undomestic Momma is hosting a $25 gift card giveaway to Paisley Pinneapple.  Lots of cute stuff on that site, I am thinking either a duffle or a nursing cover would do me right!  So head on over and enter to win!

Now on to Kelsey over @ the Seattle Smiths Wishful Wednesday!

'I wish' .... I was fluent in another language in addition to English, and it would be Ukrainian!

This may sound random, and if you asked me 5 years ago and earlier I would have said French because my aunt and uncle lived there for awhile and two of my cousins are fluent in French.  I also have been to Paris and it was amazing!!
So, why the change to Ukrainian all of the sudden you ask.  Well, my husband was born and lived there until he was 9 years old.  Although he and his mom, brother, and dad have been here for 18 years, his mother and father and many more of his family members only speak in Ukrainian at family functions.  It drives me NUTS, but I am the outcast who doesn't speak the language in that crowd, so I get to sit and twiddle my thumbs.  Not that I am bitter.  Once I am done with school, I would like to get rosetta stone and learn to speak the language.  My mother-in-law already has Emma understanding some things, but by no means is she able to communicate the same in English as Ukrainian.
So there ya go...Ukrainian it is!

Have a wonderful Wednesday and Cinco de Mayo.  I hope you are all out celebrating the festiveness that is Cinco de Mayo, please enjoy a margarita or 2 for me!!

  4. Haha I love it! You shouldn't tell anyone that you're doing it, and you can totally catch Irina off guard. Too much?

If you are looking for Rosetta Stone, honestly check out craigslist. A lot of companies buy it to train employees, but they upgrade every time Rosetta Stone comes out with a new version and sell the old ones they can't use anymore. I know full price it's pretty expensive, but I saw some on craigslist for like $200 maybe.
