Thoughtless Thursday & almost the weekend!!

I can't believe its Thursday again, which means it's Thoughtless Thursday over @ Life in the Fulmer Lane, so head over there and join in...and then congratulate her because she is going to be a MOMMA come November!!!

So, I thought I'd let you in on some baby preparations going on at mi casa, as I have about 4 weeks left until this baby graces us with her presence!

This is the three piece set we are thinking of buying.  I know its all a bit boring, but the price fits for us and its still cute!

The next two are double strollers that I am considering.  I just have no idea which one, they aren't cheap and I'd have to buy a new infant car seat for both, so I NEED to be certain I reeeeally want/need/like the one we buy!!

Graco Quattro Tour Duo Stroller in Zurich - I am very familiar with Graco products, so thats the draw here.  And they have nice cups for snacks and drinks haha!

Contours Options Tandem Stroller - Ruby - I like this one the best I think, but I just wish their was a little cup or something in front of each seat!

I TOTALLY wish I had a cute picture from when I worked there, but all of my cute high school pictures are in boxes downstairs (which is very much still in remodel mode)!  Any who, the requirement to scoop ice cream here was pretty much being in high school, so that made for lots of fun and flirty things to do!  We made lots of tips, gave away lots of free ice cream (sorry Crescent Ridge!), and did flirted with everyone and anyone!!

Oh to be 16 again, not a care in the world!

Temptation Tuesday...

Hey all, so I am CRAAAZY busy this week with school (last week of classes then finals next week), so I will most likely be slacking.  But, before I hit the sheets for the evening, I thought I would tempt myself with a little Miss Kriss Temptation Tuesday action!  Check her out and see if her Temptation Tuesday denim doesn't tempt you, just try it!

So what is tempting me, you say...Well, clothing that wasn't designed for a person to expand to the size of a whale! (for those of you that are unaware, I am 34 weeks preggers and feeling HUGE)  I hopped onto Express's website and tempted myself, because in T-minus 10 weeks (heres to hoping haha) I plan on being O-U-T OUT OUT OUT of hideous oversized clothing!

I just went to the new arrivals tab and shoes tab (the bed is really calling my name tonight) and these are only a few of the items I adored...

Getting to know YOU Sunday!!

So I have been a little preoccupied lately with school (only one more week left!!!!) and the fact that I am having this baby in T minus 5 weeks....SCARY (lots of preparing to do still)!  I have been a bit of a slacker with my posts, so I thought I would grace you with my bloggy face today, haha so excited aren't you!

Any who, I am jumping on to Keely, over at MannLand5's, Getting to know YOU (me) Sunday expedition!  I haven't done it in awhile, so here we go!

1. If you could star in any movie genre..what would it be..romance..horror..comedy..suspense or action?

A dramedy FO SHO!  Give me a good comedy mixed in with a little sexiness with one of my FAVE comedians, say Paul Rudd or Vinceypoo or really any of Jennifer Annistons dramedy costars (Sorry Mr. Will Ferrell just doesn't fit the sexiness bill for me, but he is one of my fave comedians of ALL times), and I think you have a hit!

2. Do you recycle?
I am a recycling queen, thankyouverymuch!  Emma does however love to play with the recyclables, annoying to say the least haha.

3. Have you ever been to a strip club?
haha, unfortunately yes!  Once when we went to New Orleans several years ago we went to a male strip club and then 3 years ago one of my guy friends dragged one of my girl friends and I to a female strip club at like 1am, very classy Shelby!  Not so much my thing.

4. Do you have a nickname?
Nope, can't really shorten Shelby.

5. What's a name you can't stand to be called?
Anything offensive really, but other than that I am very easy going here people!!

6. What are your Summer staples?
Flippies, sundresses, Margaritas or Miller Lite beers all on the beach.  Sorry I was just day dreaming!

7. What was the last thing you bought for yourself?
Yikes, I hate how tough this one is for me!!  I would have to say my coach shoes and black flip flops for this season, but that was like 2 months ago!  Dressing an almost 9 month pregnant body leaves a lot to desire so I stick to buying things for others.

8. Are you happy with your boob size?

They are pretty damn voluptuous right now, but post baby #1 and pre being prego with baby #2 they were pretty deflated and I just feel like thats going to happen again, boo!

Thoughtless Thursday back at it again...

Happy Thursday, almost Friday at this point!  Emma and I had a busy day filled with homework and allergies and being best friends!

Anywho, we all know what Thursday iiiiis...Katie over @ Life in the Fulmer Lane's Thoughtless Thursday, woohoo!!

So I chose to do a little flashback to Countryfest 2007, Yup a little Kenny Chesney tailgating action!  The good old days, when babies and pregnancy were no issue for this girl!

Wishful Wednesday...Glee!!

Hump day is once again upon us and it is one mighty fine day, if I do say so myself!  70 degrees outside and I got to hear my little Izzie's heart beating fast and furious!

Anywho, once again it is Wishful Wednesday over at The Seattle Smith's...

'I wish' .... I could be a GLEE character for an episode and it would NO DOUBT be Sue Sylvester!

An obvious pick would have been Rachel, because lets face it she is so uber talented and oh yah the main character, but I went a different path.  I chose Miss Sue Sylvester because she is so OUTRAGEOUS and you know you keep watching to see what shenanigans she comes up with!  There is also the minor factor that I was a cheerleading in high school and she is portraying exactly what it was like for me in high school hahaha, jk people jk!  I am and was not a hoe fo sho!

So for those of you that are trapped in a Gleeless world, snap out of it and jump on the bandwagon, because this show is funny, entertaining, dramatic, unrealistic, and so much more!

Happy Wednesday!

A cross in the road...

Welcome to "Real talk with Shelby"...haha!!

So picture this...I am 22 living at home and partying it up with girls that I've been friends with since I was in middle school and guys that I've known since high school.  I re-meet this hot, fresh-out-of-the-Marines, guy and fall madly in love!  Fast forward 3 and a half years and I am married, mom of a 1 and a half year old and soon to be newborn, and living 40 minutes away from all that I've ever really known.  These girls I was partying with (some of my closest friends) are all either single or no where near being settled and for the most part living at home still.  The partying has settled a bit, but not for the reasons mine have drastically changed.
So basically this leads me to reflect on some current observations I've made...it seems more and more often lately my titles as Mrs. and mommy have separated me from the pack.  I seem to be getting less and less phone calls from these girls.  I know the street goes both ways, but my days really do escape me.  I remember to call people in the morning (when everyone is at work) and then the next thing you know its time for bed!  Its a funny feeling to hear your husband get invited out by these people and not me.  I know most likely, being 8 months pregnant and all, I probably won't be going out on a Saturday night, but no one ever suggests any other plans that I can actually be involved in.  A few months ago when I did have a little gathering planned at my house I started the day in tears because everyone was close to 2 hours late (not even sure how that happens)!

Then there is my "best friend" who really only seems to have time for my when it suits her, especially when there is a big event to be showcased at.  I even had plans with her tomorrow to hang out with Emma (her goddaughter) and I and a girl we cheered with in high school and her kids.  I tried to get in touch with her today about our plans and to no avail!  Like, really?!?!

Boo Hoo to me haha!  I know I should just get over it and stop being a pregnant hormonal mess, but sometimes you just can't help it but to feel left out.  I can't help but to question myself and what I may have done or not done.  It just sucks!

Sorry for my rant...I am just not myself lately, or maybe I am just at a cross in the road of my life.  My friends seem to be traveling a completely different path then mine right now and I am having trouble finding my own way...by myself!

1.  I am due with baby #2 June 5th (will have a scheduled c section on the 1st probably).

2.  I am currently in a fight with our federal government and their timeline for dispersing tax returns...we are going on 9 weeks we've been waiting here folks!

3.  My little beautiful, precious 1 1/2 year old baby girl has become opinionated and doesn't listen to a word I say, making life very interesting.

4.  This is random, yes I know, but I collect spoons from everywhere I visit. (possibly the dorkiest thing about me, and I DON'T CARE)

5.  I love my husband/best friend/lover more than anything in this world, but he can be one of the most frustrating people EVER!

6.  I love to scrapbook and wish I had more time to do it!

7.  I will finally graduate college next Spring!!

Hey all, so it is once again Thursday, aka almost Friday aka almost the weeeekend!!  Not that I am ready for the weekend or anything (long weekend that is, woohooo!).

Today I will be uploading the pictures that my fabulous sorority little sister took of my family this weekend (my maternity shoot is what we are calling it, but not so much bare belly action - its not really my thing to bare it all)!  Anywho, she really rocked it this time, quite possibly best of us yet!  She is amazing, her name is Alanna Scully and you should go check ALL of her work out at her blog, because she is the bomb diggity.  I use her for all of my photography needs, which with marriage and babies seems to be quite often!
